Be part of the most amazing Cretan off-road experience!!!

Our trip starts from our office in Kato Gouves. After a safety briefing, we leave our base, taking the east side of Gouves, to continue our adventure towards the mountains. As we ride through Cretan’s wild nature, we come across the impressive dam of Aposelemi to discover the under-water village of Sfentili, where we make our first stop to highlight this unique place, which is the biggest water supply project in Crete. This dam gathers the water from Lasithi mountains and its capacity exceeds 25.000.000 m3.

Our next photo stop is at the cave of Agia Fotini, which is located on mount Louloudaki, where the entrance of the cave is shaped into a spectacular rocky cliff, formed by the collapse of the limestone and accessed by the path that begins from the church of Agia Anna. We continue our off-road trip for 20 minutes more, making another stop at the plateau of Lasithi where the land is perfectly cultivated of a variety of vegetables.

After that, Dikteon Andron (or Dikteon Cave or Zeus’s Cave) is our next destination, which is one of the most important and famous of the 3000 caves of Crete and the reasons are the rich stalagmites and stalactites that Zeus was born, according to the legend. In case that, you don’t want to pay the cave’s entrance (which is not included in the safari’s price) there is place for a drink or a coffee.

Our trip will be completed by tasting traditional food to a local family tavern at the village of Gonies.

Finally,we drive back to our base, where our journey began.
